Each of UNM's Student Resource Centers is an excellent place to find a home on campus, get support, and access to resources like advisement, scholarships, and social groups. Explore each of them below!

Accessibility Resource Center (ARC)

ARC recognizes individuals with disabilities as an integral part of a diverse community and is committed to the provision of comprehensive resources to the University community (faculty, staff, and student) in order to create equitable, inclusive, and practical learning environments.

African American Student Services (AASS)

African American Student Services exists to uplift the Black student population by providing academic programming, socially just leadership development, holistic wellness, & community engagement. We support students in realizing their full potential self through the exploration of the many facets of Blackness, collaborative advocacy, and intentional allyships to achieve success.

American Indian Student Services (AISS)

AISS provides cultural and academic programming for American Indian students attending UNM in an effort to ensure their academic achievement and assist in the development of personal, cultural, and social success.

Asian American Pacific Islander Resource Center

The Asian-American Pacific Islander Resource Center (AAPIRC) was established during the 2021-2022 academic year as a result of an student-led initiative to create a department that supports AAPI students at UNM. The AAPIRC’s mission is to build a sense of belonging for students of Asian/Pacific Islander Heritage during their studies at the University of New Mexico. AAPIRC will also seek to provide culturally relevant programs that cultivate Asian/Pacific Islander leaders within communities.

College Enrichment Programs

CEP provides comprehensive student support services that assist students with their transition to higher education and attaining collegiate success. Programs focus on students who are first-generation, low income and come from rural areas.

El Centro de la Raza

El Centro’s vision is to cultivate positive change through education and culture. As such, they focus on providing services, scholarships, programs and activities that are culturally relevant. While they exist to serve and advocate for Hispanic/Latina/o/x students, anyone is welcome at El Centro. From high school to a Doctoral degree, you will find help and a home away from home at El Centro.

Global Education Office

The Global Education Office (GEO) facilitates international education for UNM students, faculty, and staff. Whether it’s admitting and advising international students, teaching academic English, hosting on-campus cultural events, or sending students on study abroad and national exchange, our service unit is dedicated to promoting campus internationalization.

Graduate Resource Center

The Graduate Resource Center fosters graduate student learning communities across the University of New Mexico through writing, statistics, and research support facilitated by peer consultations and workshops that help students develop strategies to be effective academics, researchers, and professionals.

LGBTQ Resource Center

The LGBTQ Resource Center strives to create a welcoming and equitable atmosphere for UNM Students, Staff, Faculty, Alum and Community members. Through education, and particularly, the Safe Zone training program, they aim to bring a heightened visibility and awareness of the issues that affect Trans and Queer communities, especially on campus.

LoboRESPECT Advocacy Center

The LoboRESPECT Advocacy Center provides a safe and welcoming environment and serves as a confidential/anonymous reporting location for students to receive support and advocacy for a number of areas. We serve the UNM community by providing resources and education in an effort to promote student success.

Veteran & Military Resource Center

The Veteran & Military Resource Center provides the highest quality and comprehensive support to service members, veterans, and their dependents in an atmosphere that provides commitment, respect, and academic excellence. Services offered include peer mentorship, integrated advising, and VA education benefits certification, among many others.

Women's Resource Center

The Women's Resource Center promotes awareness and the advancement of women's rights to ensure equity regardless of gender identity, sex, race, ability status, age, sexual orientation, economic class, or religious affiliation. They seek to facilitate understanding and mutual respect among all campus and community members to achieve social justice, as well as foster a positive UNM environment. They provide the tools and resources necessary to enhance success within academic, personal, and professional aspects of students' lives.
